Self-Motivation

12th June 2006. (Hyderabad-India.)

At times a kind word of encouragement from people close to us, lift our spirits and activate us to move ahead in life positively. At the same time, it may not be possible to expect such words. The family members, though well-wishers may be engrossed in their own problems to come to your help. Seeking their help frequently may annoy them, and their constant motivational sermons could become casual to your ears. Over a period, it is quite possible you may ignore them and you could be ignored. In such times the problem becomes complex, and you could be in depression again. What is to be done?

Whichever way you look at it, Your Attitude and perception of life are very important. In fact this trait is the root that shapes up your character and personality. In times of stress and depression, I found that self-introspection is the first step one should take to analyse the root cause of the problem. Listening to classical music (Preferably Instrumental) alongside kindles the positive neurons in your brain, and propels you forward to activate your positive traits. In my case, I listen to Instrumental music (Carnatic and Western Classical). I synchronize my head to the beats. This motivates me tremendously and I resolve to become more positive and not give in to negative feelings. This habit of mine has helped me always.

Counseling helps and at times it is required. But YOU have to follow and practice the advice. In other words the Effort has to come from within you. You have to motivate, and lift yourself.

As life goes on, you are subjected to constant pressures on various fronts. You have to be aware of this. In fact Awareness of life’s process itself prepares the mind to tackle the problems to your satisfaction.

God brought all of us and laid a path for us to follow. Nothing pleases him more than your co-operation to his plans that has been written for you.

As I put this on the net, there is tranquility in my mind to surge ahead positively.
